What To Do In Park City (Instead Of Going To The Grocery Store)

No matter what kind of activities you enjoy, Park City, Utah has something to offer for everyone. Here at Park City Grocery Express, we are proud of our home town. Our job takes us all over the city, so we know a thing or two about it. Should you ever find yourself in our beautiful city, here’s a list of fun events, locations and activities for anyone to enjoy.

Visit Main Street Historic District

Comprised of 47 buildings across 13 acres of Main street, the historic district is a great place to visit for any architecture buffs. In 1898, a devastating fire burned down all the buildings in the area. After that, the buildings were remade with different styles of architecture, including Spanish Revival, Victorian and more. Housing  tons of restaurants and boutiques, there’s always something to do in the Historic District. It has even made the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Visit Utah Olympic Park

Built in 2002 for the Winter Olympics, many Olympic athletes still use the park to train. The park has a long list of fun winter activity facilities, including a mountain coaster, museums, a bob sled track, and much more.

Ride The Alpine Coaster

The biggest roller coaster of its type in Utah, the Alpine Coaster spans over a mile of twists, bends and turns. The best part? It’s gravity driven. Not only can it reach high speeds up to 30 miles per hour, but it comes with break features to slow the ride down. You’ll be hard pressed to find better scenery, too, as you’re surrounded by a mountain view.

See The Park City Museum

Found on Main Street, the Park City Museum preserves everything of  Park City’s history. Check out artifacts from local history. The museum offers regular tours, and you can check out such regular exhibits as Mega Mine and the Days of Ore, The Great Fire of 1898 and The Dungeon: Park City’s Territorial Jail.

Attend The Sundance Film Festival

Are you a film buff? Then, for a little bit every year, Park City becomes a paradise! Home to the Sundance Film Festival, every film connoisseur’s dream, you can spend your time catching exclusive movie premiers, comedic and musical performances and much more!

Explore The Union Pacific Rail Trail

Spanning about 30 miles of recreational trail, the Union Pacific Rail Trail follows a set of abandoned train tracks across Park City. The trail welcome bikers, hikers, horses, cross country skiers, and, of course, walkers! It’s the perfect chance to unwind, go for a walk, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
